The day at work was pretty normal. I was not done packing for the trip, but neither I was really planning to do so) therefore I made3 an effort and made it to the Japanese class.
I think I never talked about foreigners there, because I am not really close to any of them, but I guess it’s gonna change soon)
henna gaijinActually I have no idea how many foreigners are there in total. Cause they come and go as they please, therefore it is hard to tell the exact number. The first ones that I was introduced to were these trio – 2 crazy Americans and one quiet British guy. One American is a typical “all good” American and the other is the Texas nerd type) British guy is just to quiet to judge about his character. Then lately one talkative Canadian girl joined. She drives C2 crazy therefore lately he does not go to class at all XD
There are many Philippine kids but only one stands out – gangster kid, his name is silos (or smth like that) but he calls himself Si-chyan, dresses up like typical black kid from the hood and has wallet even bigger than mine)
Anyways everyone is friendly and nice to chat) So that day after class I kind of got stuck with the nerd and british guys) The nerdy is not nerdy but just looks that way) They asked me whether I’ve been to Wonder Goo before. And of course I have not. I have not been much in tomioka in general and so far from my apartment that is given. So they said that they have to take me there right away. It was pretty much 10pm and in tomioka even the pubs and bars close at 10 therefore I wondered what the heck the Wonder Goo is that it is open this late. It turned out to be a rental store where u can buy or rent books/dvd/cd/magazines new or second hand. In the kids corner we found a map/puzzle. Pieces were shaped as countries and u had to find it’s place on the map. To make it easier every continent has its own color, but even such a handicap did not help the American. Yapparine.. americans are really bad in geography.. at least he was able to position US and Japan in right places.
But apparently Tomioka has many fun places that I am not even aware of. And seems like when I get back these guys will be my guides in discovering all kind of places… But lets see about that)
