In the morning we had nice breakfast at IM’s uncle’s and aunt’s place. And the aunt has taken us first to the stone garden. Japanese are really fond of huge stones)))
sticks and stones
But I think as a park it is a great place to come with family for a picnic)
And afterwards we went to the museum which had this installation of the typical town from edo period.
Then we hurried back home and to the station so that IM can make it on time to her bus and I went to meet with the Professor in Shibuya near Hachiko.
I first met professor in Kiev as he had brought his students to UAJC for a joint musical event and we keep exchanging emails from time to time. When in ua he always brought me nice presents and I do not feel comfortable owning people. So this time I brought some nice omiyage for him as well.
Professor has taken me to Tokyo station for a bus tour around imperial palace and ginza and after the tour we went to ginza for a walk. There are many fancy brandy price shops in ginza and I went in only Mitsukoshi (huge department store) to buy some sweets for my colleagues. And it was time for dinner. We went into one restaurant, but as the waitresss was not Japanese (Taiwanese???) professor decided to change the restaurant all together… he didn’t like the girl as she was a foreigner… I was like wtf… then what does it make me??? In the second restaurant the waiter was also not Japanese (to tell the truth if the girl had an accent that I can recognize, but the boy was speaking fluently… so I have no idea why professor thought he was not Japanese…) I’ve never expected him to have such an attitude… so when he was giving me bd presents (flowers, sweets and statue of dragon) I was not feeling comfortable at all… I had all kinds of food, but decided not to drink as I had to meet Bee later on. Professor drank not much, but enough to get into high spirits and I didn’t like it at all.
Finally I was able to break free from his company and rushed to meet Bee. I appreciate his concerns for me and nice treatment… but I do not get such a different attitude towards different gaijins… that’s just not right…
