Day 63 ~Kusatsu onsen~

I overslept… which is no surprise as I had been tired for weeks now and going to bed late doesn’t help in such case…
long dayI was late for class and was stuck with the old granda who like to giggle at me and gets all blushily (I know that there is no such word as blushily, but to say that he blushes is not enough) red whenever looks at me. It didn’t improve my mood even a bit( I was waiting for class to end and afterwards had a small chat with my EX-kimono teacher.
Small remark… I say EX, cause at first she was ll supportive and wanted to teach me, but then I introduced IM to her and she switched to her, so now she is teaching IM and I am just a foreigner who needs not to know any true Japanese stuff…. And actually on that day IM was supposed to come for class at 7 pm. Which I learnt only the day before… at first I thought it was ok, but later on this class would mess with our schedule pretty badly…
I texted both IM and KY and only KY replied that they are gonnd be there at 12-30… Aparently IM overslept and they arrived 12-50… My class ended at 11-50… so for the entire hour I stayed in study center… walked around, went to the library and tried to keep my spirits up.

It has taken us almost two hours to get to the onsen in the mountains. It was snowy and refreshing (-5C) for me and freezing cold for IM, cause she was wearing some light tights and shorts that could only cover her butt.

The area was really nice. We went to the temple, where you have to hit the round bell with the cord… I was failing at that too, so KY had to help me out with that. I also thought that it was time for the omikuji update so I bought cute horse figure.

Once we went down to the shopping area, IM went out to the store and KY and I went for foot onsen and I've read through my fortune… it’s getting better I must say) Now I have the smallest fortune, but at least I have some good points… I still have to study hard, take care of my health, look up to find what I’ve lost; wait for those who are running late and not to fall deep in love. KY was helping me with the translation and the last one caused him to laugh… I wonder why… Anyways, I am glad that my fortune is getting better… now I need to work hard , so that next month it improves as well!
We went to find IM and did so in one sake store… really… this girl is smth special… when I was taking hot shower after skiing to warm up, she was taking some hot sake for the same purpose… Well she got all she wanted on that day… We went to the stores she wanted to go, but when I saw one that I thought was interesting, she would say that we have no time and let’s do on our way back from onsen. However we stopped to get some free soup. I was getting irritated and decided to check my cell phone… and the very same moment ua friend was calling me (the one that got married last December))) I was so happy to hear her… and just to speak some Russian. Both KY and IM were confused, but oh well… they do not bother speak English when I am around so I am not gonna bother speaking English for private call!!! That’s given! The chat was just not that long but helped me to feel better and shorten the waiting in the line time for the soup. I eneded call right before getting soup but even then we were not able to enjoy it peacefully, as IM was too cold to sit down and eat it and we had to rush to the onsen with small bowls of soup. It was crazy… looking back I still don’t get why I was putting up with all of it.. maybe I was just happy to see snow))) it has this soothing effect on me. The onsen itself was great!!! But unfortunately we could only get in for mere 20 minutes((( as we once again had to care for IM not being late for class…
On our way back once again we ignored all the store I was promised I could go in, but IM has taken her time to pick whatever she wanted – postcards, snacks, sake… She even demanded to have some onsen eggs, but then was hurrying it to swallow it fast cause she was in hurry… so we left in a hurry… KY could only promise that we would come again some other time…
She felt asleep on the way back and I was also tired from all the meaningless running around… We got back home in time for her to go to class and I have stayed late chatting in skype with my sister and Yuki, complaining about my life XD I am so sorry about that… I am sorry that they had to listen to me whining about how pitiful I am… To tell the truth I think that I am already living a dream! I am in country that I wanted to visit for a long time. I have my own apartment, some money and inet… But you know, we’ve learnt this at our first Economics class… once basic needs are satisfied, people would want more and more.. and they could never stop from wanting more after realizing lower level needs… and I am no exception! Now that I feel more comfortable in daily life and work I start to want more...
Once again I went to sleep late and had some random dreams that doesn’t make sense even to the crazy person, which I am…

Day 62 ~Skiing~

At 7 am I was at the dorm to help KY to load my and his skis into the car. It was rainig, so in the mountains we could expect snow. We stopped by conbini store to get some lunch and coffee.

~ah-ah…. I am sorry I am just not in the mood to write a decent report… the following events were somewhat upsetting, so I do not have the good feeling about writing everything down nicely and interesting for others to read… I doubt that I would want to reread it… but I’ll try my best~~ah-ah…. On the bus I sat with IM. Company organized bingo game and IM was able to win some snack and I couldn’t open even a single number for the most part of the game.. I just do not have that kind of luck… There were many kids on the bus.. so cute, but also somewhat noisy))) one girl has even given us some sweets.. so cute of her!!! After the bingo game everyone was watching doraemon rest of the way)

I was worried that I would not be able to fit into the ski wear that I rented beforehand (cause at first I was loosing weight, but I can tell that lately I’ve gained some weight.. and tasty Japanese food and no self-control are to blame for that). But it turned out ok… I was able to put it on (even though it was a bit tight). Got the shoes and skis on and went out… the four of us (me, KY, IM and new Indian guy – NaIve - that's what i am gonna call him XD) went to the hill… well.. mountain skiing is nothing like I’ve done when I was a kid… I could go down, but I was not able to slow down and stop, so before hitting other people I would just gracefully fall down on my side so that I would not break anything. Naïve had more problems.. he was falling all over the place.. IM stayed with the two loosers (me and NaIve) for a while and went ahead to ski on her own…Naïve gave up and went down on his feet XD.. and I was still struggling… I am used to skating so I was using skating methods, which were wrong, but I kept on struggling… KY was babysitting me… I felt really bad about it. He said before that he wanted to go skiing as much as possible (and therefore brought lunch with him instead of having one in the café in the valley). And having to babysit me seemed to me like a waste of time…On the second round we met some of his acquitances. The first question after greeting him was whether I am his girlfriend. XD Of course he denied it (rather fast XD – I wish I could laugh it off as well) and said that he broke up with her. And apologized for it… I don’t think you want to know what I feel about this manner of apologizing for everything… because it is quite absurd. Anyways only later on I was able to convince him to go have some fun and went on skiing on my own… I did much better in the following rounds and unfortunately before I could fully enjoy skiing it was time to go back.

There was huge line to the restroom and therefore I was the last one to get on the bus. All Japanese people looked at me like I was crazy but I couldn’t care less. I was one minute before the departure time, so I do not think I should feel bad. In addition I was soaking wet with all the falling down! I let my wet curly hair down, because it makes me feel better, when I am down, and strolled to my sit like I had no idea why they are staring… When we got back to the office KY offered to go out for dinner. Naïve declined and so did IM, so KY and I agreed to meet in one hour near the dorm. I helped him with skis and he dropped me off near apartment.
Hot shower helped me to warm up. And as my mood got better I made a terrible mistake XD. I wanted to be nice and decided to ask IM to come once again… I must be retarded… seriously… only I can be this self destructive!!! She said that she wants to save up money so she would go out for dinner only once a month and she also said that she had had her dinner already, but she is gonna come… It was like WTF! The three of us went to this nice curry place. She kept complaining that she doesn’t want to spend money and that she already had dinner and bla-bla… which made me really annoyed! During dinner they chatted in Japanese and I was only making some remarks time to time… I understand what they were talking about, but I just didn’t feel like there was place for me to comment… I payed for the dinner… I didn’t want to owe KY for the dinner after movie and IM has eaten child’s menu so it wasn’t much, in addition I do borrow her iron and sometimes she gives me rides, so I didn’t feel wronged about paying.

After dinner we stopped by drug store and while KY was getting some cold medicine I was hopping for shampoo and hair foam… IM was lazily enjoying free massage… I asked her for help… I also noticed one cute moment… I was looking for roller deodarant, because I do not like the spray that I bought last time… KY was looking for us, but when he saw us in the deodorant area he just went away and waited for us near the exit…these Japanese are very strange at times XD…
We have agreed on going to onsen the next day.. but the details were still unclear. I was going for Japanes class in the morning so that they would pick me up at noon at study center and we would go.
I was in normal mood after the dinner (not my happy self, but still manageable). I stayed till 4am uploading photos to facebook, cause many of my friends are just asking for photos… but to tell the truth, very few of them actually write to me… which is somewhat sad, but I am a cat.. and cat doesn’t need anyone as long there is warm bed and cold milk!)
I went to bed in a strange mood.

Day 61 ~Is zumba really a dance?~

We got back after midnight and KY drove me all the way back to the apartment (which is 2 minutes walk from the dormitory, but still nice XD) I stayed up till 2 am in inet.
